Condom use may reduce the risk for genital human papilla virus (HPV) infection and HPV-associated diseases, e.g., genital warts and cervical cancer. Condoms provide good, but not perfect, protection against some STDs, especially gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and trichomoniasis. But condoms do not provide complete protection against all STDs.
